KAYMU INTENSIFIES MARKETING WITH MOBILE APP.

Nigeria's online marketplace, Kaymu.com.ng has further enlarged to mobile marketing with the launch of its mobile app last week.

Kaymu said the mobile app is designed to make online shopping in Nigeria even easier and more convenient, with features that helps sellers to list products and buyers to select from a wide variety of products at a glance.

According to the marketplace, the app will offer a wider product assortment, fast and intuitive navigation, and easier buyer and seller account management.

Kaymu Nigeria's Managing Director, Evangeline Wiles said, ''Mobile marketing is very quickly
revolutionizing the buying and selling process in Nigeria. With people  conducting transactions via messaging apps like Blackberry Messenger and Whatsapp, the launch of the Kaymu.com.ng mobile application on different platforms will supply an even more structured platform for sales to be conducted on the go''.

This move is to tap into the astronomic growth in mobile in Nigeria. It will be recalled that the Nigeria Communications Commission recorded over 65 million mobile internet subscribers in Nigeria as at beginning of the second quarter of this year. Also, according to the a 2013 report by McKinsey Global institute, 58 percent of Nigeria living in cities have access to an internet-enabled mobile phone, and urban Nigerians are more than twice as likely as the average African internet user to conduct transactions online.
