Review Of the Latest 2go Update for Java Phones

2go is a free mobile social networking application developed by 2go interactive [pty] Ltd in cape town South Africa. 2go supports over 1,500 different devices like Java ME, Blackberry OS and Andriod Phones, 2go has over 50 million registered uses across Africa with over 15 million active users based within Nigeria making Nigeria its largest user centre in Africa. It was first released in 2007 and has over time seen the development of various versions to suit various devices and users.

The latest version for JAVA Phones includes a lot of new goodies [features] for its users making it more user friendly and convenient, Example even after exiting 2go the user still receives message/notifications on his/her home screen. Although it can be said to be strikingly similar to the whatsapp app. Another feature that can be found  in the new version for Java is its chat layout and friends list which makes it easier for the user  to access his friends list and chat history easily also this feature is found on the Whatsapp brand which also uses a similar layout.

A poll held among 2go users operating a Java ME Phone.

80 percent believed it to be a copy of the Whatsapp design.

15 percent believed it not to be, but just appearing similar.

5 percent were unsure based on my research carried out on tertiary institution users of the Java ME I discovered that majority of the users [90%] love the new 2go version and 5 percent chose the wait and see stance and 5 percent wanted something new.
